From all (both) of us at OnePercent, may your Christmas's be drizzled in fizzy wine and stuffed full of ham and pudding. May you remember to go to the bottle shop before public holidays. May... oh fuck it, just have a good Christmas OK!!! See you in 2011.

Issue three of OnePercent is out now and at a store near you. Issue one could have been an accident, two maybe a fluke - three however shows we're here to stay. We traveled all over putting this one together and we've gotta say we're stoked with the result. God damn we met some good people on our travels. If you dig hot rods, motorcycles and real rock n roll then you need to get a copy! If you can't find it at a store near you then get in touch and we'll point you in the right direction. The other option is to click the link on the right and buy the digital version or email me at email@example.com and we'll get you one direct if we can't get a store near you to stock it. Subscriptions are also available so get in touch.
In this issue, among other things, we have features on The Jim Jones Revue, Jake - the Retro Rockers and his incredible bike Captain Flashback, a mind blowing photo shoot with the iconic space rod Vandal, one very nasty injected big block '40 coupe, an interview with the king of Ponsonby rock n roll Larry Morris, tales from the Bonneville salt flats, one mean Indian chopper, a dangerous Triumph drag bike piloted by Paula Pratt, the Max Baker story, enough music and movie reviews to choke a dog and some shots of a pre-unit Triumph that will have you in tears of joy.
God bless the fuckin' lot of ya!

It's called the Port Rd Drags - but there was no port on the road. Just fuck loads of burnt rubber and pieces of blistered skin that had been boiled off my sunburnt brow. I flew to Wellington at 7am Sunday morning with a distinct lack of necessary items (sunscreen being one of them) and an abundance of confusion. Once I arrived and had a couple of gins all was well though. This was the 43rd annual Port Rd Drags and the weather was a stunner. Cool relaxed vibe, tons of people and no trouble. Thanks to Trim for being such a great host.

Check out Paula Pratt's Triumph drag bike. We've been drooling over this for a while and finally got round to shooting it yesterday. Everything about this means business and Paula still holds some records that have never been beaten. There's an interview with her in issue three, which by the way, will be out first week of December.

Another weekend on the road & this time the weather was on our side! Apart from when it rained. We visited Terry Caske in Palmerston North who owns the legendary Vandal bucket and a sweet 32coupe. His big block 56 Chevy two door post is garage-bound right now, but was also making our pants tight!
Terry's son Steve has this cool 56 Chevy that he cut down from a wagon. Beautiful lines. We also met their grandfather, Pops. His shed was a magical place. The old Montiperto roadster is in there and going through a full rebuild. Terry's 34 is also in the shed and is a mind melter.
Then we cruised over to New Plymouth and caught up with the Retro Rockers who were celebrating their 10th anniversary. Glen was the guy with the Triumph and Jake's bike is called Captain Flashback.
