Issue 5 is ALIVE!!!

Issue five came back from the printer yesterday. We posted subscriber copies today and it should be in store 26th December. You can buy it direct from us from the online store and shipping is free.
We're pretty proud of this dirty little sandwich - it took us a bit longer this time but we'd rather spend a little longer than put out something we're not totally happy with. Have a great Christmas motherfuckers and see you next year!

Are we there yet?

Issue five is pretty much in the can - off to the printer next week so we'll have mags in the post to subscribers before Christmas. The wait will be worth it. Here's two small tastes of the banquet that awaits.

Randy Santa and the Waterfront Gang.

Took a drive down to St Helliers tonight to check out the annual toy run, loads of cool rides and the weather was perfect.  Stayed just long enough to say hi to some friends, bash down a hot dog and a coke and do a few laps. Congrats to Tim who got his 29 legal - this was it's first outing with paperwork. Anyone who's gone through the process knows how good this feels and the smile on his face was evidence. Car looks RAD Tim! So much to look at - here's a few shots, imagine the salvation army band playing hits to murder yourself to and you could almost be there!

Beautiful 35- fruju yellow, suck it will you?
This 51 has been for sale for a while - Cole Foster did the chop job.
 Oooohhhhh Barracudaaaaa
 Tri Sexual
Chris Hornblow's Camaro - looks better without the sheet covering it I reckon.
This coupe is soooo white, only marks on it were from the droool I left on it back at Kumeu
 Flathead Mochachino thanks
Prehaps the hair was burned off by the flames? Propecia coupe.
I love this Nova - pro street is making a come back yall!

Swapmeet This weekend squwark squwark!!!!

Born With Too Much Shit is happening this Saturday 26th at Salvation Kitchen.
The focus is on motorcycles hotrods and rock n roll - and of course eating yourself stoopid. Things kick off at 8am with swapmeet action and bands start at 12. The Rum Coves (one of my favourite bands in Auckland) are playing, as are Ed Gains and The Human Remains (which Andrew plays in along with Kurt and the sparkly Rossco ex Demi Whores) and also The Ruby Union, my new band with Bryan and Damon who I played in Deadflowers with and Chris Long on Drums. Bar opens at 12ish. There's parking round the back and preferential hot rod / motorcycle parking out front. Slow roasted pork belly sandwiches will be attending too! Gimme a call on 021494484 for info or if you want a site. Lots of stalls selling good stuff as well as motorcycle and V8/hot rod stuff. Get in there you dirty magpies!

You'll always find me in the Kitchen at parties.

Retro Vixen went down at Salvation Kitchen on Saturday - was rad! Here's Sid "the thinking man" checking out Kylo's bike (and wishing he had bought the chaps)
a sweet line up out front...
and a sweet RPU that arrived after lunch.

Frankensteins Sump - an oilabotamy

It twas a cursed sump, grinding on the driveway on ever exit/entry. Smashed to shitery on Sids driveway and then the final blow, the sump plug fell out while in motion. I A transpoter ride home (better than a seized engine on the harbour bridge!) and a call to Dave Graham had things sorted. Plug moved, sump sectioned, oilabotamy successfull!

And The Circus Hits Town.

65 Oldsmobile 442 belonging to Dave  G - one tough car. It's been in the shed for the last 6 months while the Chevvy has been mincing round the place but Sunday changed that. I quickly developed an obsession and was stuck in cyber land for several hours later, thanks Dave! Denims 78 Ironhead is cool too - not as cool as the fact he pulled up with a very necessary crutch strapped to his back! Tank doodle is nice.

Capannone Cinque

Went down to Shed 5 on Saturday arvo for the kick off of their speed week festival. First time I've had to apply sun screen since last summer, not the first time I've drunk cold Corona's.
Lots of new punters projects were on display and people were hanging out in the car park. Get down there - the bar is open every night and there's something different happening every day.

The Udjar Roadster - get ready.

We shot this today, Andrew did good rolling round and round in the dirt for a couple of hours with the camera while I chewed the fat with Mike. We've been trying to do this shoot for 2 months but bands, business and weather have fucked it up - well worth the wait, I never realised how long Mike actually spent building the car. He bought it in 68 and his first show was in 75. This thing owned the show circuit for the next couple of years. Full feature in the much "anticipated" issue 5.

The Cadillac Has Landed

Just got my 1953 331 Cadillac motor from down the line, crank and block were once in Mike Gearing's roadster. Not sure what kind of condition it's in but a wee bit of history none the less, will keep you posted. Now, what shall I put it in?
