Fuckwit Freedom Fighters

In this fast paced and dangerous world of publishing you need to be a bit of a chameleon. Some times an actual disguise is required. Sometimes you just wonder what kind of a person you are and what kind of person you... could be. It's important to answer these questions and to be prepared for anything life as a Fuckwit Freedom Fighter might throw at you. That's what we are brothers and sisters - Fuckwit Freedom Fighters fighting for fuck all. Here's brother Ashton getting his 'guise on.

Degrees Of Separation

Well fancy that - you sell something on the anonymous playing field that is the inter-webs and someone you know buys it. I had a Berry & Chung shifter handle that I was selling along with a bunch of other stuff (to finance my Hilborn Cash Furnace) and the winner of the auction was Steve Simpson. Steve's a talented body man and the shifter is for a project he's getting stuck right into - a Graham Berry built front engine dragster.
While Tony Billington used to run it with a 283, Steve is setting it up with flathead power inc. Hogan heads and as many Berry & Chung parts as he can find. The sheet metal is also going to have a little more shape to it than the original slightly boxy car in the old pic below. Can't wait to see this at the nostalgia drags.

Mac's Speed - medication for the hot rod nation.

Graeme McNeill, he talks all funny. Some say he's mad, others know it. It's always a treat popping out to the Mac's Speed funny farm though - the only thing you know you'll find is cool cars and top notch workmanship. The rest is a lottery. Likes a bourbon now and then too. Brother Ashton dropped by recently and this is some of the buggery going on out there.

Who takes who home? Just pop your keys in the bowl.

Well last night I finally managed to load up Tumblin' Dice onto a trailer and take it to brother Piaggi's place so we can get the injection happening and start on the new headers. With little room at the workshop something had to give so the Monkey Mobile has come to my place for a vacation. I always hate it when the car is out of the shed but man it is crazy having a Model A Tourer with this much history sitting in it's place. There is actually a ton to take in on this car and I just sat in it for 20 minutes this morning checking shit out. This is a proper 60's surviver and it's super interesting poking your nose around it. Sure I've seen it many many times but there is something different about having time to soak up the details. In the meantime Tumblin' Dice awaits - there is much to do before summer!
